Teacher Training

In this course, you will learn everything you need to know to be able to confidently hold your own children’s yoga sessions and start living a life that brings you happiness whilst also delivering wellbeing to those in your own community.

This course gives you the skills and empowerment to become a Children’s Yoga Teacher

Through this comprehensive 8-week online course, you will learn the benefits of yoga for children, different yoga poses and techniques, keeping children engaged and much more as well as gaining the confidence to practice and teach mindfulness, meditation and relaxation techniques.

You’ll develop the knowledge to lesson plan for your sessions through opportunities to practice yoga sequences, games and mindfulness.

The practices you will learn can be taught to children in person and online without the need for any extra props.

An introduction to the course, what you’ll learn and how to successfully complete it

Module 1 – What yoga is:

Understand what Yoga is and it’s values and virtues

Module 2 – The Benefits:

Learn the benefits that yoga has for young children

Module 3 – Anatomy and Physiology:

Learn how children’s bodies grow and how this understanding can affect children’s abilities to practice yoga

Module 4 – Yoga Poses & Techniques:

Learn a wide range of different yoga poses, their names and how to do them

Module 5 – Mindfulness & Relaxation:

Learn mindfulness & relaxation techniques to use during yoga sessions

Module 6 – Class Management:

Learn techniques to keep children engaged and how to promote a non competitive, fun environment for children
